Altruda's Italian Restaurant

Altruda's is our go-to place for Italian food when we are in the Knoxville area. It is an "old school" atmosphere, dark and cozy, and it has consistently good service. Everyone on the staff is helpful and friendly from the moment you enter until you leave. The entrees tend toward "comfort food" Italian, with a full array of traditional dishes such as Lasagna. Ravioli, and other pasta dishes as well as numerous meat and seafood selections. I get eggplant at Italian restaurants whenever I can, and Altruda's Eggplant Nicole is one of my favorites. The rolls are awash in garlic and butter and can be hard to resist.
